Trick or Treat - Watch out for our Lil' Stinker!

Happy Halloween!

Quite a few things have gone on since our last post. Jax and I ended up making a spontaneous trip down to Tennessee to visit the family. We kept Mimi Marsha company on her trip down home. She's been taking care of her sister, Karin, (my aunt) since the first weekend in September. It's a long, sad, and tough story to tell. So I will spare you the details. Marsha needed to go home to re-charge after being away from home for 6 weeks and the drive is a long one; 10 hours. So I offered Jax and I to go with her. I knew it would make the trip a little easier on her.

We were gone for a week. It was nice to get away and Jax and I also go to visit with Pappy and Mimi, and my other aunts, uncles, and cousins as well. He was such a good boy in the drive down and on the drive home. That boy has certainly racked up some miles on his belt. We've gone to Tennessee twice now (and that's about a 615 mile trip one way), plus we've traveled to Rhinelander, Wisconsin and we are gearing up to do that again for Thanksgiving, which is about 500 miles round-trip. He's a travelin' man!

On Monday we had Jackson's 9 month Dr. appt. All went well. He is developing normally. And he's finally catching up to other baby boys in his age group. Doctor says he looks nothing short of happy and healthy! So that's always good news to hear! Our next appointment is at 12 months! And that's not that far away! YIKES!

Jackson's Specs
--------------------
Weight: 18 lbs. 6 oz
Height: 28 inches

He also got his first flu shot as well and handled it like a champ. We have to go back in a month for part 2 of the flu shot. They do this for all children under the age of 9 who have never had a flu shot.

Yesterday was, of course, Halloween, and Jax joined in on the festivities. We made our rounds during the day. Our first stop was to the mall to have his picture taken in costume. Then we headed off to see Daddy at work for lunch. Tamma came over for a bit to check him out in all his "stinkiness" and then his girlfriend, Isabella, stopped over to show off her cute costume. We all did a lap around the neighborhood and stopped to "Trick or Treat" at one house, where Jackson received his first ever piece of Halloween candy! He could have chewed on the candy for hours (and it was IN the wrapper!) Just imagine the rush he'll get once he's allowed to actually have a real bite of it!

Check out the pictures!

Mr. Butter King!

"Mom, seriously, I look ridiculous in this thing!"

Chillin' with Daddy 'O!

Working on crawling like a real man!

Getting into Mimi Marsha's suitcase.

"No, I am not doing what you think I may be doing!"

"Forget toys mom and dad, just get me a suitcase to climb on!"

Jackson's favorite expression: "OH!"

Trying to pull the blinds off the window.

Out on the swing at Pappy and Mimi's! He's grown into it now!

"I think I like this...but I'm still not sure."

Our little Tennessee Volunteer trying to get the people on TV.

Hanging out at Mimi Marsha's with my toys.

Jackson is very good at giving kisses....to Mommy! :)

Now this sure IS a "basket of love!"

Playing around at home!

GASP! EEK! What's this? A SKUNK in my car?

Wait? What? Is that my little boy?

OH MY GOODNESS! It most certainly is! What a cute little stinker!

Could this costume get any cuter! I love the headpiece!

Tamma and Jackson (aka Lil' Stinker)

Do you think he's happy it's Halloween?

Here's Jackson and his girlfriend, Isabella! Don't they make quite the pair?

OH NO! A ladybug and a skunk have gotten inside the house!

Nope! Just Jackson and his leading lady(bug)! LOL!

He's getting so big! He'll be taking his first steps before you know it!

"Look Mommy! No hands!"

Strike a pose!

Can you tell that I enjoyed getting views of their backends? Too cute!

Jackson with his first ever Halloween candy! A Butterfinger!

"Don't lay a finger on my Butterfinger!"

"Mmmmmmm! This is yummy....and I haven't gotten to the real thing!"

He only THINKS he's on a sugar high! LOL!

Thanks for peeking in on us! See you again soon!
